Just thought I'd say "hello"! I'm Niniel, a new player. I'm a crazy Wenham/Faramir/all his other roles girl. But I've loved Tolkien since I was 11, and I think it's great to have a game based on the imagery from the films! I have my trading cards page at www.emynarnen.com/cards/cards.htmlI look forward to playing/trading/interacting with you all.

*laughs* Your icon is hilarious! Welcome to the boards, and to the TCG. I'm curious, why do you go by the name of Niniel? Not exactly a happy name, lol.

Thanks for the welcome! A long time ago I had a RPG character for a Tolkien game who was a Gondorian girl who was named for Nienor, except I prefer the name Niniel because I love it as a word...just sounds pretty...and I thought it a poetic statement to have someone name a baby the elvish word for "tearful," anyway. Always have to think of those poetic touches in RPGs! (The time period was during the decline of Gondor, so "tearful" wouldn't have been completely out of place.) It stuck, because I still love the name and, well...I come from a very unhappy place (think Faramir--movie version, even!) and I cry all the time anyway. Even when life is happy, I cry. Niniel fits. Thanks re: the icon too...I wish I could remember where I found it. I think clowns are terrifying so it was appropriate as well as humourous!

I see. My name is actually from an RPG I used to play a long time ago, too. It is a very pretty word.
