Which of Tolkien's books have you read? I've read the Hobbit, LOTR, The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, and all of the HIstory of Middle-Earth series up until Sauron Defeated, which I just recently completed. I've allso read Tolkien's translation of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight (along with the other poems he translated that were published with it), The Tolkien Reader, Roverandom, and Smith of Wooton Major. Oh, and I also read the Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien. Yes, I'm obsessed.

I've pretty much read everything I could find. Now I'm looking for the more obscure trivia like books. Have you ready Tolkein's Biography? I did a book report on that in Jr. high school. It was really interesting. Long but very interesting...

The one by HUmphrey Carpenter? No, I haven't read that one. I believe he spread some misconceptions about Tolkien, and I never really wanted to read it. Besides, my mom started to read The Inklings by Carpenter, and she said it was gossipy, lol.

I have read Hobbit, LOTR, Roverandom, and couple that I can't remember what they are in English. I have Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales on my own but I haven't read them yet.

I've read LOTR, The Hobbit, Silmarillion (in Norwegian, going to get it in English as well), Unfinished Tales and Tales from the Perilous Realm. I'm going to get the History of ME books as well, when I can afford them. >.> Money, come to me.

Tales from the Perilous Realm... would that be stories like "Smith of Wooton Major"?

Yes, that's one of them. Tales from the Perilous Realm includes Farmer Giles of Ham, Leaf by Niggle, The Adventures of Tom Bombadil, and Smith of Wootton Major. My favourite is by far The Adventures of Tom Bombadil. It's a collection of songs or poems, and they all (I believe) rhyme. Very catchy. Here's part of one of the songs: Old Tom Bombadil had a merry wedding crowned all with buttercups, hat and feather shedding; his bride with forgetmenots and flag-lilies for garland was robed all in silver-green. He sang like a starling; hummed like a honey-bee, lilted to the fiddle, clasping his river-maid round her slender middle. I also have one of the books with art from Middle Earth. Tolkien's Kingdom or something like that? I don't know the exact title, as my book is in Norwegian. Then I also have the books about the movies TTT and RotK, but I haven't really read those yet. >.>

I have an art book called Tolkien's World, or something like that. I got in on sale, which made me a very happy girl.
